California Power Outage Map: Hundreds of thousands were without power and roadways were flooded in California on Sunday due to an intense winter storm. According to Accuweather, up to 37 million people, or approximately 94% of the state’s population, were at risk of potentially life-threatening floods.

A National Weather Service report said on Sunday that gusts up to 92 mph could occur on the Monterey Peninsula. The storm was the second atmospheric river to hit the state in just a few days. Several counties in Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Ventura, and Monterey were under evacuation warnings and orders. Flooding on the airfield closed Santa Barbara airport Sunday evening, and schools canceled classes on Monday.

As of 6:42 a.m. ET., over 430,000 customers were without power across the state. Santa Clara County alone had over 70,000 outages, Sacramento County had over 57,000, and San Mateo County had over 50,000.
