Gunplay’s wife, Vonshae Taylor-Morales, took to social media to discuss the situation and announce that she had obtained a restraining order. She has also admitted that divorce proceedings are underway. What she actually stated was

When authorities detained the rapper, they also took the gun into custody. As if being falsely imprisoned for child abuse, domestic violence, and aggravated battery weren’t bad enough, the rapper was also found to be in possession of a firearm, which made an already perilous scenario much worse.

The rapper spent his formative years in Texas, where he became involved in drug distribution and was a victim of multiple drug-related crimes. His musical journey and career started when he was exposed to rap later on.
