“Country’s third monkeypox confirmed in a 35-yr-old man who returned to Mallapuram from UAE on July 6th. He was admitted with fever at Manjerry Medical College Hospital on the 13th and on 15th he began showing symptoms. His family and close contacts are under observation,” said Kerala Health Minister.
Meanwhile, Kerala was placed on high alert after the discovery of a second monkeypox case. Karnataka, a neighbouring state, has also made the decision to intensify monitoring efforts and maintain a high level of vigilance.
