Jordan 38 Release Date

Sneakerheads have been eagerly awaiting Jordan Brand’s announcement of its new models for the 2023–24 NBA season, and July is finally here. The anxiously anticipated Air Jordan 38 is one of two remarkable revelations already made by the Jumpman crew. After showcasing it a week ago, the company has now disclosed a breakdown of the “Fundamental” colorway’s specifications as well as two other colorways.

Similar to the Air Jordan 37, the Air Jordan 38 derives inspiration from the Air Jordan 8 and looks back 30 years. First, the redesigned X-Plate facilitates rapid movements by maintaining the foot’s position over the footbed and emulating the “X” shape of the AJ8 straps. In addition to this new component, the sole unit features a radial herringbone pattern. This component works with a full-length Zoom Strobel unit and full-length Cushlon 3.0 padding for responsive cushioning.

It recognises Michael Jordan’s extraordinary NBA Finals performance in 1992–93. The three medial diamonds and the 41 crosshatches represent, respectively, his average of 41 points per game and the Bulls’ three consecutive championships. It is the most sustainably produced Air Jordan because it contains at least 20% recycled material by weight.

The “Fundamental” colorway of the Air Jordan 38 will be available for $200 USD on August 18. Then, on September 7 a “FIBA” look and on September 25 a women-specific “Centre Star” design will debut.
