Search and Rescue Teams Scour Santa Cruz Mountains for Missing 17-Year-Old Girl: Wednesday, a 17-year-old female went missing in the Santa Cruz Mountains, prompting numerous search and rescue teams to investigate the area.
Early in the morning, deputies from Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, and Monterey counties converged on a tiny location approximately one mile east of Castle Rock State Park to collaborate. Crews utilised ropes to ascend the rocky, precipitous terrain.

According to the investigation, Katie Schneider may have vanished from the area at any point in the past month.
On Monday, investigators from the Santa Clara County sheriff’s office located Schneider’s vehicle in the area and reported seeing signs of vehicle damage on adjacent bushes and rocks. At least two search dogs were brought in to assist in the ground investigation.
Katie, 115 pounds and 5’5″ in height, has been missing since July 5. Sheriff’s deputies report that the teen was last seen exiting her residence in a white 2019 Honda Accord bearing the California number plate number 8KLK251.
Nola Schneider took to social media to express her gratitude for the “unwavering love and support” she and her family received from the online community during the search for Katie.
Numerous channels have disseminated tips and data that could assist the investigation. Some of the 30,000 residents of South Bay have had flyers affixed to their doors and windows.
