There is a chance of rain and other winter-like weather on Thursday and Sunday. With colder weather and a big system coming through on Sunday, 2024 might see its first real snowstorm.

It’s most likely going to snow north and west of New York City right now. Most likely, it will rain and snow in the metro area. In NYC, northeastern New Jersey, and Long Island, small snow accumulations are possible.

It should be an all-snow event in northwest New Jersey, the Hudson Valley, the Catskills, and the Poconos, where it will snow the most.

At this point, the storm will happen between Saturday night and Sunday morning.
