Philadelphia International Airport terminals
At Philadelphia International Airport, all terminals are connected after security. If you are in Terminals A, B, or C, you can usually walk from one gate to another in about 15 minutes. But things get harder if you are coming from Terminal F. Terminal F is mostly used by American Eagle and small regional flights. Terminal A is where most international flights are. The distance between the far end of Terminal F and Terminal A-West is more than one mile. If you have a short layover, walking this far can make you miss your flight.
To make it easier, the airport runs a free shuttle bus. This bus picks people up at Terminal F near gate F-14. It drops passengers at gate C-16, which gives access to Terminals C, D, and B. It also stops at gate A-1, which connects to both A East and A West. The shuttle also runs the other way, but in that direction it only stops at Terminal F.
If you use the shuttle, you do not need to go through security again. But rules change if you are coming from another country. International passengers must go through immigration, collect their bags, and then clear security again before catching a domestic flight. The same applies if you booked two separate domestic tickets. In that case, you must exit the secure area, pick up your luggage, and go through security again.
Lounge Access with Priority Pass
Priority Pass is a large lounge program with more than 1,800 lounges and airport experiences around the world. These lounges usually offer free food, drinks, and a quiet place to rest before a flight or during a connection. At PHL, Priority Pass members can visit places like the Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club, Minute Suites, and XpresSpa, depending on their membership.
How Much You Need to Earn to Be Middle Class in California in 2026
Many travelers get Priority Pass through credit cards. Two popular options are the Chase Sapphire Reserve card and the Amex Platinum card. The Chase Sapphire Reserve gives full access to Priority Pass lounges. The Amex Platinum card also includes Priority Pass after you sign up. It also gives access to Centurion Lounges, Plaza Premium Lounges, Escape Lounges, and limited Delta Sky Club visits when flying Delta, with more visits possible after meeting spending goals.
