Social Security $717.84 Payment October: The Social Security Administration (SSA) has announced that beneficiaries of the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program will get their monthly check a little early this year. Millions of people across the United States will receive their payments on Friday, October 31, 2025.

Normally the SSI payments are made on the first day of each month, but since November 1 falls on a Saturday this year, the payment has been moved to the last business day of October. This early payment is considered the October check even tho it benefits November.

By law, Social Security payments cannot be made on weekends or federal holidays. That is why, when the regular payment date falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the SSA moves it to the last business day before the weekend. This year, Friday, October 31, is that day. The SSA said this adjustment ensures that beneficiaries get their money on time without any delay.

Social Security Payment Schedule for November

While SSI beneficiaries will get an early check on October 31, regular Social Security payments, such as retirement or disability benefits, follow a different schedule. Social Security payments are based on the beneficiary’s date of birth and are spread over three Wednesdays in each month.

For November 2025, people born between the 1st and 10th will get their payment on Wednesday, November 12.
Those born between the 11th and 20th will receive their payment on Wednesday, November 19.
Individuals born between the 21st and 31st will get their money on Wednesday, November 26.

The payment on October 31 is not part of this regular schedule. It is an advance payment for SSI beneficiaries, meant to make sure that everyone gets their funds even when the normal date falls on a weekend.

How Much Will Beneficiaries Receive?

The “extra” payment that some Social Security beneficiaries will get on October 31 will be $717.84. However, the exact amount can vary depending on each person’s situation. The federal maximum SSI amount for 2025 is $967 per month for one person and $1,450 for couples who qualify.
