Social Security June: Monthly checks in millions are issued by the Social Security Administration (SSA), most of which consist of retired workers and those qualifying for Supplemental Security Income (SSI).
Payments are made on Wednesdays, the precise day depending on the birthdays of the beneficiaries. People born on the first through the tenth of the month get their checks on the second Wednesday of the month.
Checks are sent to recipients born between the 11th and the 20th on the third Wednesday of each month, and to those born between the 21st and the 31st on the last Wednesday of the month. Workers who retired before May 1997 and SSI recipients, however, are not covered by this timetable because they get their payouts in the first few days of the month.

June Social Security payment schedule adjustments
There will be a change for June, even though SSI recipients typically get their money at the start of each month. This is so because the usual payment day comes on a weekend. Beneficiaries will so get two checks in May, one for the current month and one for June. May 31st, Friday, will see the release of the June payment. As a result, in June, SSI claimants will not receive any money.
