World Athletics Championships 2023: Saturday (26 August) is the penultimate day of the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary, with seven finals.
The day begins with the women’s marathon before Olympic pole vault champion and world record holder Mondo Duplantis attempts to win a second outdoor world title for Sweden.
Noah Lyles and Fred Kerley, Noah Lyles’ predecessor as 100m world champion, are anticipated to lead Team USA to 4x100m relay gold, while the U.S. women, led by Sha’Carri Richardson, will face a formidable challenge from Jamaica’s Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Shericka Jackson.
The remaining two finals on the track are the 800m for men and women. World champions in the decathlon and women’s shot put will also be crowned.
