2022 Ford Everest (Endeavour) Boasts Plenty Of New Features – Details

The all-new third-gen Ford Everest is all set to make its debut in the Malaysian market on September 24, 2022. Based on the new Ford Ranger, the 2022 Everest is already on sale in Thailand. It also boasts a new exterior styling that might remind you of the latest Ranger while it is the cabin that will impress you with its premium layout and a long features list.

To start with, the new third-gen Ford Everest (Ford Endeavour) is underpinned by the same ladder-on-frame platform as the Ford Ranger and has grown in size when compared to the outgoing version. It also has a longer wheelbase of 2,900 mm (50mm more than the previous model).

On the design front, it retains a boxy design and a new front fascia dominated by C-clamp headlamps and a prominent bar grille at the front. The SUV features new LED taillights connected by a bold strip in the centre.

The dashboard layout is also new and is mostly identical to the Ranger. For starters, it gets a vertically mounted touchscreen infotainment system along with features like a digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, auto-dimming IRVMs, a cooled storage console, and more. On the safety front, the SUV is offered with features like adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking, and more.

It also gets nine airbags including front driver and passenger airbags, dual seat-side thorax airbags, and dual-side curtain airbags. The new Ford Everest is offered with three diesel engine options – 2.0L single turbo, 2.0L twin-turbo, and a 3.0L twin-turbo EcoBoost V6. You will also get a single petrol engine option in the form of a 2.3L EcoBoost four-cylinder.

The buyers will get two transmission options depending on the variant opted- 6R80 six-speed automatic gearbox and 10R80 10-speed SelectShift automatic gearbox. In the Thai market, the Everest will be offered with either a 2.0L single turbo diesel engine or a 2.0L bi-turbo diesel engine depending on the variant you opt for.
