Tattwa Prakash Satapathy Biography: Tattwa Prakash Satapathy, also known as Papu Pom Pom, is an Indian film, television, Music Director, stand-up comedian, and candidate for the Odisha Legislative Assembly.Satapathy has appeared in over fifty Odia films.He played the principal role in the popular Odia television comedy series “Excuse Me: Jaha Kahibi.” Sata Kahibi , Faltu Katha, Eita Bayata. He has played over 500 roles on television.

Early years

Papu Pom Pom performed stand-up during the 2014 State Film Awards at Utkal Mandap in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
His father is a high school principal and a performer.

Satapathy completed a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Udala College, MSCB University (formerly North Odisha University). During those days, he was appointed dramatic secretary at his college.

Former Congress Senior Leader and current independent M.L.A. candidate Mr Sanatan Mahakud defeated Satapathy in the 2014 assembly election for the Champua Odisha Vidhan Sabha constituency, for which he received a ticket from the Biju Janata Dal.Afterwards, he left politics.

Career

Papu has appeared in over 15 Odia films. Papu is a certified singer of Hindustani music. Initially, he struggled to find a vocation.

First, Papu began singing Oriya album songs, contributing his talents to over 60 unsuccessful album tracks.

In 2007, Oriya FM radio stations supported by private funding began opening branches in Bhubaneswar. Radio Chokolate extended an offer to Papu for self-scripted laughter programmes.

This served to establish his career as a comedian by garnering him immense popularity. In 2009, Papu joined Tarang television for the comedy programmes “Excuse Maine Jaha Kahibi Sata Kahibi,” “Phaltu Katha,” and “Papu Beauty Parlour,” the most popular of which was “Excuse Maine Jaha Kahibi Sata Kahibi”

He portrayed 118 distinct characters in the comic serial “Excuse me,” which brought him immediate fame; if he surpasses 250 characters, he will submit an application to the Limca Book of Records.

Papu has been invited to perform at the 45th The Optical Society (Odisha Society of the Americas) convention, which will take place from 3 to 6 July 2014 in Columbus, Ohio, United States of America. Papu has been invited to perform at the POCS (Prabasi Oriya Cultural Society, Chennai) Annual Day and Kartika Purnima Celebration 2014, which will be held on 16 November 2014 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
