DAVV CET 2020 update: DAVV CET 2020 has been cancelled. However, the Indore Bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court has granted the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) the permission to commence the admissions to its programmes based on merit without conducting the Common Entrance Test for the 2020-21 academic session.

While the court had formed a five-member committee to look into the admission process, it also pointed out added that the permission to conduct the admissions without entrance exams has been granted only for this academic year.

About Admission based on Merit

While HC issued the directives based on the petition filed by DAVV seeking the revision of a previous court order making CET mandatory for the admission process, the review was filed by the university stating that keeping the COVID-19 situation in mind it is not possible for the university to conduct the entrance examinations.

The court further added that the decision of the committee shall be final in the matter for the admissions and also stated that the modification is applicable only for the present academic year.

DAVV CET, a common entrance test, is conducted for admissions to UG, PG and Research-Level programmes, offered at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore and its affiliated colleges.

The entrance exam is conducted across 30 Indian cities on an annual basis.
