Mangaluru: 13-year-old boy dies after coming under falling coconut trees in heavy wind

Mangaluru, Jul 16: In an unfortunate incident, a 13-year-old boy died after he came under the coconut trees which were being uprooted in a farm by the heavy winds and fell upon him due to heavy wind on Saturday, July 16 afternoon.

The deceased is Shaun Aaron Crasta, a resident of Kayyar in Bandiyod. He was pursuing his education in the seventh standard at Don Bosco AUP School, Kayyar.

He is survived by his mother Anita Crasta and sister Sonal Crasta.

Shaun is the son of Stephan Kayyar who works for Daijiworld and other publications from the Kasargod district.

He is also serving as Kasargod District Kannada Reporters’ Association secretary.

The funeral cortege will leave the residence, Kondalakad Kayyar at 3.30 PM on Sunday, July 17 for Christ The King Church, Kayyar followed by a mass at 4 PM.
